1st Term is OVER!

Well, I would like to say that I am proud of myself. I've worked extremely hard this whole year since the start! Yes, I've had my roller-coaster moments where my grades have dropped to a 1.86. I took it upon myself and got my grades up to a 2.86. I just hope I do really well on these finals because on a real note... I've been falling asleep in class and getting off track lately. Like, I know the material but I don't come off that way. So THAT'S academics.

Socially,
I made so many new friends and got along with people really well. There wasn't that much drama if I think about it... well besides drama with my dad but that's always gonna be there. As much as I hate to admit it, he's helped alot when it came to grades and basketball. Yet, I don't think he accepts me for me, so.... I don't know.

I'd like to thank those that have been there ever since middle school. Y'all haven't changed a bit and always kept it real with me and always kept me updated on events and kept in touch.

My basketball family and close friends... shout out to y'all because we've come so far and put so much work in... best believe we getting state this year. The lil groups we have ( Bounce Nation and Thizlam ) was a nice add on to the chemistry we have. Y'all still some goofs though.

Ode to all the teachers. Without you, us students wouldn't be so successful. I don't know how you put up with us but aye, you haven't given up on us. Honestly, I have learned so much and really am happy that I was able to become friends with you. I appreciate all of the advice given to me and you as people. Same goes to my coaches and trainers. I wouldn't be that strong or as skillful as I am. At times I didn't want to workout and put in the time but you reminded me constantly that it would pay off in the end, and that's with what ever I'm doing. Whether its school, other interests like photography or writing, or basketball... hard work and being dedicated show great results.

WoW. I don't know where to start. Ever since the end of last year we've been pretty cool, but since that day at the fair.... July 31st... its been outrageous. We started dating ever since August 1st ( first day of school ) but it seems way longer. Thank you for being so understanding, caring, and supportive through this whole period. With the drama that has occurred from time after time, you stayed strong and made it seem as if everything was ok... and it was. You never left with a frown, but with a smirk or a smile which let me know that you were content with the limited time we had. Words haven't been invented yet to describe how much I love you. I mean that. Others may say that we are too young to be falling IN love or too busy for love but obviously we showed that we can handle it together. I must say that I'm going to suffer without you these next three weeks. I love you with all my heart babe<3 ITS GUCCI!!! hahah

Computer Design Class

This term in Mr. Sarabia's class has been CRAZY!! The people in this class, although, do be doing too much. Its hard to concentrate with all the smack talk and annoying laughs. I do like the fact that we can listen to music while we do our work though. It helps the concentration and really provides more enjoyment in the class. Furthermore, I've learned pretty much the same stuff I did last year when I was in this class for Visual Communication, along with the color codes and learning how to make CD cases and labels. My favorite part of this class was taking pictures. I'm photogenic, so taking pictures or taking pictures of others was the best part to me.

The most difficult assignment to me was the blueprint project. It took a while to make all those lines and adjustments when it came to making the rooms and the backyard. I didn't really turn in this assignment until like a few weeks after. Though, it gave me an idea of what I want my house to be like in the future... or better. The most interesting and my favorite was the magazine project. I was able to practice something that's part of my backup plan if basketball didn't work out for me. Though I didn't take the picture, I enjoyed editing the picture and adding on pieces and headlines that relate to me or conversations that I've been in or overheard.

I really hope I have this class next term or even next year. Sarabia's class provides freedom to me. I'm usually restricted and can't go on the computer at home unless I'm looking up grades or doing homework. In this class I was able to blog my thoughts and feelings like I am now, wonder around the room and observe other students creative mind set, and taking pictures. I just know that next term/year's students will love this class like I did last year and this year. Hopefully, they feel as if they are escaping reality and jumping into another world when they make projects.

TRANSFORMERS!

TRANSFORMERS!! This project was a lil boring for me. I did this same project last year and I didn't really feel like doing it again. I put some images into photoshop and traced em. Then, I dragged em onto my project. Same goes with the face. That's a handsome robot!

Color Pattern

This project took some time. A good week or so to be exact. Andy Worhol was the guy who discovered these color codes and identified if they were complementary, analogous, or triad. All I did was use the Trace project I used earlier and used different colors from the Hexodecimal Color Wheel project.

HEXODECIMAL COLOR CODES

During class, we were making this color wheel along with the color codes to make things easier. At the bottom our favorite color was to go from light to dark. This really helped me to understand the codes of colors, but its a lot more complex in many ways.

The CRIB

WELCOME MTV CRIBS!! haha This is my blueprint for a house that I basically came up with on the spot. Obviously there isn't any kids room or upstairs... I just wanted to keep it simple. Kinda. I added a basement which is a party area. I combined a movie theatre with pop corn makers and soda suspensors. DJs will be hired for the backyard and the basement. The basketball court in the backyard was a must. I'm a baller, of course I'm going to put one in. I just wanted my house the place to be.

Mixing it up

These are 2 more projects that I'm putting in one post.

For the first collage, I put the stuff I care about, interested in, and/or need. A lil somethin' about me is that I love chinese or japanese stuff. Pocky may be short lasting but its delicious. The drinks (below the Ipod) are like the Brisks.... great in taste and thirst quenching. PANDA EXPRESS IS MY FAVORITE FOOD OF ALL TIME!! OMG I can't get enough of it. umm I love photography, music, and my home USA. I have a BMW as my car, but I don't know how to drive yet... hopefully that changes soon. I am a pisces :) I play Dragon Basketball and looking forward to getting a scholarship through that. I used to skateboard and I used to have a Dalmation named Lance... but he got old and we had to put him to sleep... I really miss him. I didn't really finish because I had to put my friends and family in here along with my girlfriend <3 s/o to my babe! lol

The second collage are people i look up to or like to watch play or things I am, again, interested in. My cousins, first off, are the ones that have always been there for me since the beginning. Its funny how we were real real little... always around each other and now we seperated through schools. The NBA players... I watch youtube videos of them daily because I'm constantly trying to pick up things from them. Cell phone... addiction... not literally. Money... gotta get it. Video games... always playing them. Jabbawockeez... sickest dance group ever. Can you see the house in the background? 

Composition

I slightly enjoyed this project. Like the layers project, it didn't require as much thought like any of the other projects

This project was... ok? I didn't really enjoy it as much as any of the other projects. Although, I do like the contrast and the wings that stick out

I'm a Rapper

I'm putting 3 projects in this one post. For the first project, we had to make a cover for a musical album. I chose Tyga as the person to make this for because I was currently listening to a song of his called Don't Wake Me Up. I made up the album name so it would seem as if he was a new artist.

The second project was the back cover. It was important to put the bottom information, or else it wouldn't seem real. The songs are also made up and goes from a new artist growing up to a well known rapper who is tired of waiting for competition... so he starts over.

The last project for this was the CD. Same background as the back cover. The font of the title and name goes with his name... well I believe so anyway.

I enjoyed this project because it involved A LOT of adjustments and thought.

Trace

In this project, we used a picture that we had taken in class. We basically traced our face and put shadows on em. I think blue works for me :)

SlapS

Time off

VACATION TIME!!!! I made a vacation poster for the Sac High junior class. Its the hardest year of high school, we been getting HELLA work, and take so much heat... why not take the time to get away? I chose to go to an island with 3 of the most free spirited and exciting teachers that not only I appreciate, but other students and people love. 

Again and Again

For this project, its a simple pattern. I chose Ray Charles and Bob Marley because they were huge musical and social influences.

Playing with my Cousins' Stencils

With this project, I felt like a lil kid randomly splattering paint on paper. Although I turned some pictures that my brother Marques took of me and my cousins into stencils and added those on paint. We were called Crew.Cousin. by my bro but I just switched it around so it would make sense. This was a dedication to them. They've always been there for me, no matter what. Whether I go to a different high school then them or not, I knew that they were there. Recently, I told them that I'm going to put this as a blown up poster and put it up somewhere. They'd be siked out!

Favorite Project "Poohdini Mag"

This must've been my favorite project. I basically used a Derrick Rose (my favorite player) poster and added on other images such as the Michael Jordan photo and Bulls logo and made it fade into the background. I like this project because it gives me a feel of what its like in the future if I stick with basketball. Walking toward the tunnel every night, shaking hands, and everyone's eyes and cameras are glaring at you... at the same time, thinking about how it was back then. How you overcame all the adversity and come out on top as one of the best known athletes and/or people in other peoples' mind. From what I've been through, I can already see that publicity is out of control. Like Derrick Rose, I'm a humble and hard working guy, looking to achieve goals and stay happy the whole time.

Layers

This is the sixth project that we did in Sarabia's class. Its called "Layers" and what we did was drag pictures from the folder that we had been given and adjusted the colors to make it look nice. What I like about this is the explosive feel it gives off because of the red and yellow flames

Influences

I extremely liked this project. We were told to make a project about the things that influence our creativity. As you can see, I chose my older brother first. He inspires me the most because he is someone that told me to follow my dreams and stick with YOUR instincts and don't let anyone change them. Basically stay true to myself. He has many different types of art. He did photography when I was a lil younger, he paints, and he can draw.
The other artists I like because of their contributions to video games, favorite shows, or clothing lines that I'm interested in.

I'm about my Biz

For this project, we had to make our own company business card. I think this is something I can use in the future because I really think I can pull an artistic business off if basketball don't work out for me. I chose to call it Scattered Mind Design because my mind is so scrambled. I'm always day dreaming and multi-tasking or finding something new to do.

Opening up to Someone

I recently had a webcam convo with my girl. Me...I'm a sensitive dude and yet I don't about what I think or wonder about. I don't even talk about myself much. I listen, so its hard for me to open up to someone that is really special to me without getting nervous or emotional. Questions like "Why do you love me?" or responding to "I don't know what you see in me" gives me jitters. I'm not saying that I don't know why I love someone or I don't see anything in anyone, its just.... nerve wrecking I guess. I don't know. My question is... if you're someone that is really shy and don't talk much... how do you change that? Like, I have yet to TALK. I can complain or write/type stuff down and make it seem like I'm outgoing, but I don't know how to overcome that. Oh well. I'll figure it out and get used to it sooner or later

I am who I am

Sometimes I be wondering what its like to put myself in other peoples' shoes. What they have to live through- good or bad. Either way, it makes me appreciate what I have in my life. Whether its friends, family, materials, ANYTHING. I'm grateful that I am who I am. If I wasn't, there's no telling what I be doing or where I be at.

Alot of times I don't agree with what people be saying about me or assume about me. OH well! They can say what ever they gota say...just say it to my face...still won't make a difference. I aint changin for nobody.

Wish upon a STAR

My third project was making a star. We used multiple effects, color adjustments, and the wind effect to make this. Sorry if I don't put the specifics in here, but aye thats what I remember.

Project "Name"

The second project we did in Computer Design class was making our name. I decided to insert my planet to be more creative and different..

My First Assignment

This is the first assignment we did in Photoshop. We created this using the circular marquee tool and using textures and effects and some lighting to create a realistic planet. As you can see, adding little can play a role as stars. The rings were optional, but they are really cool to add.
